Renter – Important Notice

Start of Rental

STEP 1 – COMMUNICATE WITH THE VENDOR

  • Contact the vendor via the Support Centre to make arrangements on delivery time and method.
  • You can initiate the chat from your Orders page. Click on the Owner’s profile and send a message via the “Chat with Me” link.
  • It is important to have all communications via the Support Centre to have a valid record in case of any unforeseen issues in future.

STEP 2 – RECEIVE THE ITEM

  • On the booking date, the vendor will deliver the item as agreed.
  • Please ensure that item is in working condition and satisfies your requirements.
  • Take images and if possible video of the item from your mobile phone to reflect the current condition of the item.
  • Ensure GPS and metadata is turned on your phone. If there are any wear and tear or scratches, be sure to take pictures of the item. If any inconsistencies arise, this might cause forfeiture of your claim.

STEP 3 – INITIATE THE HANDOVER

  • If everything is ok, share the 4 digit confirmation code in your Booking Confirmation email with the vendor to initiate the handover.
  • If the code is not verified during the handover, the system assumes that the handover has not taken place.

End of Rental

STEP 1 – RETURN THE ITEM

  • On the return date, return the item back to the vendor in the same condition as when delivered.
  • It is advisable to take pictures of the items at this point as well as a reference in case of any dispute in future.

STEP 2 – COMPLETE THE RENTAL

  • If everything is ok, vendor will complete the rental.
  • If there are any damages to the item, the vendor will proceed with the Damage / Loss claim process.

STEP 3 – LEAVE  A REVIEW

  • Once the rental is complete, you will receive a Review email within 24 hours.
  • Please submit the review with your opinion on the item, vendor and experience with RentSmart Asia.
